RESERVE DETAILS

——- six shelves with overall approximate dimensions of 84” long x 11-1/2” deep x 84.75” high

——- wood for shelves to be approximately 1-5/8” thick as discussed, beautiful reclaimed old growth fir salvaged from a 1904 building in downtown Seattle

——- spacing as noted by customer on “Take Three” diagram

——- two payments - $1875 to initiate work (paid previously) with a balance of $1875 due at completion, ahead of shipping (total all included is $3750). This is the balance payment

At heights over five feet, anchor screws for fastening lightly to a wall are recommended and included

SOURCING
wood is reclaimed roughsawn old growth fir - which means wood logged from wild forest, from a time before trees were a crop farmed in roughly 40 year cycles. Our wood is guaranteed salvaged from some of the earliest industrial and agrarian warehouses and barns in Tacoma, Seattle and the greater Puget Sound area. These buildings were constructed from wild wood - ancient, dense, super resilient wood from an ecosystem that had been undisturbed for thousands of years, was nearly impenetrable, super slow growing, dark, rainy and loud with quiet and birds

shelf edges often hold the raw imprint of sawmill blade, whether band saw or circular saw. Wood has patina, evidence of work, nail holes, mineral stain. Warmth and tone of wood is from years of oxidation, absorbing changes in humidity, cold and rain, brief intermissions of sun

STEEL
steel is cold-rolled with u-turn feet
preserved with beeswax
sourced steel is estimated at approximately 89.5% recycled content, about three times the average of most commercially available steel
