SOURCING
wood is reclaimed roughsawn old growth fir - which means wood logged from wild forest, from a time before trees were a crop farmed in roughly 40 year cycles. Our wood is guaranteed salvaged from some of the earliest industrial and agrarian warehouses and barns in Tacoma, Seattle and the greater Puget Sound area. These buildings were constructed from wild wood - ancient, dense, super resilient wood from an ecosystem that had been undisturbed for thousands of years, was nearly impenetrable, super slow growing, dark, rainy and loud with birds and quiet
